During the 15 minute journey in to college, I said one word. I said “Hi” as I got in the car and then didn’t say anything else. 

Not because I didn’t want to talk but because they just carried on with the conversation which they were having before I got there (which was about a girl and her boyfriend and things that I didn’t know about and, therefore, I couldn’t contribute to the conversation) and didn’t once try to bring me in on the conversation or change the topic.

Actually, close to the end of the journey they asked each other how their weekends had been…they didn’t ask me.

I didn’t really mind until we got to college and one of them turned around and said, “You’re quiet today!” 

That annoyed me.
